Time To Blog Again......

My poor little blog, feeling so neglected and lonely!
A little bit of news.....I am a god-mother! Wooohoooo.....here is my little boy Ashton:

My brother Drew and his partner Tammy are over the moon, I have not seen my brother look so happy and proud to be a dad! Ashton is so little and sweet, I hardly let him out of my arms during our visit, I wanted to take him home with me but little Jada was not happy one little bit about that idea...lol! I can't wait to see him again next month for his christening.

Here's a little project I did using some yummy Kenner Road goodies:

Materials Used:

Papers by American Crafts and Sassafras Lass, sale price tag, vintage yellow ribbon and chipboard buttons by Jenni Bowlin all from Kenner Road; Flower pots by Mondo; Stamped Alpha by Queen & Co; Material by Heather Bailey and Spotlight; Buttons and love note ticket from Making Memories and my button stash; Eyelets from Moonshine Designs; Thickers and flair buttons by American Crafts; Bazzill Cardstock, Black Archival Ink, Chipboard, Twill, Embossing Label Maker, Glue gun.

THINK HAPPY THOUGHTS!

BIG Update!!!

I celebrated my 35th birthday the end of last month, I had a wonderful day!!! Yummy chocolate mud cake, stunning flowers and a new coffee machine which makes awesome coffee...mmmmm!! My youngest DD Jada picked out her favorite toys and presented them to me at different intervals during the day....such a sweet little girl.
My mother and I went to a seafood restaurant which was sooooo yummy! Worth every cent, even though I didn't pay......lol! So all in all I had a fantastic birthday, very relaxing, wonderful gifts and special moments shared with family and friends.

My package I won from Tim arrived from the US about two weeks ago, and I still haven't opened them yet.

I was so very excited!!! I also received my Kenner Road kits last week and I have to say I am sooooo impressed!!! I can't wait to have a play with all the goodies. Everything was loving wrapped in brown paper and little stickers, I didn't want to open them but of course I ahd to see what was inside.

I can't wait to see the next one. It's the first time I have subscribed to a kit club as I have been drooling over KR goodies for ages so I bit the bullet and I am so glad I did!

On to some other very exciting news.......

You can see the rest of the pages here on my photoblog called Artwork. It's easier to post all the pages on a blog instead of uploading all of them to the galleries. The full credit list is over there too. Well, that's about it for today, quite a big post...lol! I have to get back to work now..... xo

Well, I managed to miss a few posts this month but I do want to share a couple of photos I shot whilst at Berry the last two Sundays. I adore this little town and always find new (old style that is) and interesting sites that my camera and I just love. The first one is an amazing little hotel that has a stunning wall of hub caps...lol, the bar stools are saddles and the atmosphere is so family orientated that they even have a special playground out the back for the little one's to play in whilst you are enjoying a nice glass of wine from the many local wineries we have in our region.

Great Southern Hotel, Berry

Very relaxing after a hard day's shopping at the gorgeous stores scattered all around Berry like this one.

Berry Stores

I just love living in this neck of the woods......peace and serenity!

Lastly, a page I did for the Friday Lift Challenge at Pixel Canvas lifting Paper Squares' page Fun in the Sun. Here is my page called She's My Girl. Click on the image to see a larger version over at Pixel Canvas.

A Trip Down Inspiration Lane

Welcome to the very first addition of 'A Trip Down Inspiration Lane'!

When ever I get the chance to create something whether it is a hybrid, traditional or digital project, I will be sharing it here on my blog with hints, tips or tricks I have discovered along the way. I hardly ever get a chance to create something but when I do, I never end up posting it to galleries so all my little projects remain on my shelf or tucked away in the scrapping cupboard.

So I was laying in bed last night with my eldest DD who had really bad pains in the tummy, (she's on the lounge now playing her wii all rugged up in her lounge/sick blanket) thinking about the projects I create and what I can do with them. That's how I came up with 'ATDIL' A Trip Down Inspiration Lane!

Now lets see if I can explain my thoughts on this little inspirational section of my blog.
I spend a huge chunk of my life on the computer (when I'm not being a mum that is) surfing the net, working and creating. Along the way, I always find so many inspirational idea's that I bookmark for future reference. I have loads of different categories in my inspiration bookmark folder, to help keep them sorted. I have one particular folder that is filled with links to sites that I have found amazing idea's for all types of projects. This is what I would like to share with you. Anything I create using the vast inspirational sites I have compiled, I will post on my blog. Such as the original project I found, my interpretation of the project, and links needed to complete the project for yourself and mini tutorials on how I created my own project. I will also show you my own mini tutorials on what I create myself so that you may be inspired yourself, to create a project. I will be keeping everything fairy simple so if you are at the beginner level, you will definitely be able to create your own inspirational pieces!

Now don't get me wrong, I am no professional by any means but I'd love to share with you what I learn on my journey down inspiration lane.

With out further ado, here is my first little project:

A Timeless Tag

Photobucket

Tags can be so much fun to create and there are no guidelines you have to adhere to. Just create what you feel like and use any materials you would like.

My supply list

Digital Products:

- Cherish Every Moment by Gina Marie Huff at Weeds and Wildflowers
- Tag template HERE

Physical Products:

- Versa Color Pinecone Ink
- Ric rac, string and ribbons from Jindyandy
- Eyelet from Spotlight
- Brad from Spotlight
- Buttons from my button stash
- Strip words by Collections
- Chipboard tags by Collections
- Paper flower by Bumblebee Crafts

Let's get started. Open the template you downloaded above in photoshop. Open an new 8x11 pixel transparent document at 300 resolution. Drag your template over to the new document. Open your digital embellishments and papers you wish to use on your tag. Resize your paper to 8x8inches.

Photobucket

Drag your paper over to your new document and position it over your tag. Right click on the paper layer and create a clipping mask.

Photobucket

Resize any other embellishments you wish to use on your tag and place these items on your new document ready to print out.

Photobucket

* NOTE: Go here to read a basic tutorial on how to print from photoshop.

Now you are ready to print out your tag and start putting it together. Use any embellishments you wish to decorate your tag. Here is my finished tag:
